Meet Katherine
A native of Los Angeles, Katherine Abdelkerim has been in the mental health field for nearly 10 years. She received her Master of Science degree in Counseling Psychology (Marriage and Family Therapy) with a specialty in Trauma and Recovery. She currently works as a Mental health Clinical Specialist at UCLA and maintains a private practice.
Working with teens and adults to assist them in feeling empowered has always been her goal. She decided to take her passion to the next level and create her own publishing company, KGA Creative Publishing. Katherine aimed to build more access to mental health resources for people of all backgrounds and identities. She wanted mental health books to do the same since she promotes inclusivity in all areas of her life.
