Art Work

Art speaks when words fall short. For me, creating art is a way to process the world, appreciate beauty, pain, wonder, and everything in between. Creativity is vulnerability turned into strength. Each piece I share evokes a moment of feeling seen and understood. Each piece carries a part of me— and then becomes part of someone else’s story.

Meet Katherine

Katherine Abdelkerim has been in the mental health field for nearly 10 years. She received her Master of Science degree in Counseling Psychology (Marriage and Family Therapy) with a specialty in Trauma and Recovery. Apart from being a therapist, Katherine is an artist, professor, and author.

Katherine uses creativity in all her areas of work. As an artist, Katherine loves creating art pieces using mixed medias. She pulls inspiration from nature and places she’s traveled to using acrylic paint, moss, and other materials she improvises with.

In her private practice, Katherine is deeply passionate about empowering women to achieve their fullest potential by guiding them in developing assertive communication skills, leadership skills, and healthy boundaries. With a commitment to building confidence and self-respect, Katherine works with women to help them unlock their inner strength and step into their power with clarity and purpose. Through personalized coaching and her experience in various leadership positions, Katherine is dedicated to helping women transform their mindset in both their personal and professional lives.

Katherine has also worked teens and their families to assist them in navigating challenges. Seeing the need for more inclusive mental health resources, Katherine decided to take her ideas to the next level and write her first book The Ultimate Life Skills Guide For Teens. Katherine aims to create more access to mental health resources for people of all backgrounds and identities.
